Another great day spending with a baby and mom! I guess i don’t really know how busy a mom can be until i spend time with the moms and babies recently. Yein taught me a lot of tips and tricks of breastfeeding, how she discipline Eli and etc. Also, how to hunt good stuff in the thrift store. She showed me the crib that could have spent over $500 for only $40 from thrift store. What a bargain! I guess i need to start hunting stuff from the thrift store or yard sales. I had a good time and I thank God for all the godly women around me who can be my role models. I pray that I would be like them one day and pass on my experience to the younger women! My prayer from 2 Titus 2:3-4 - ”Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, 5to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.”

On thursday, Laurel and Benji had a little date and Laurel gave me the honor (also trusted that i could handle Zachary) to baby sit for an hour. I had a wonderful time. We went for a walk around my apartment complex. I know that Zac had a good time enjoying God’s creation and the wonderful weather on that day. It seems like he was joining the creation in worshipping and praising God. Besides that, the most precious moment it’s that Zac didn’t just forget about the people around him while enjoying himself, once in while, he would turn his head to you and smile at you. It’s so sweet! I guess, in a way that he appreciate and wanna say thank you for taking me out to enjoy God’s wonderful creation. I would like to thank Laurel and Shearn for trusting me to babysit baby and it’s really a good lesson for me to learn too. Someday, I’ll be needing help from friends to do the same thing, also I hope that I’ll be able to trust other people to take good care of my little precious ones.  

When the weather gets warmer and warmer, a lot of people like to BBQ outside. We have also caught up the culture here too! Needless to say, we have our own grill and had had our first BBQ of the season last weekend. Yesterday, we were invited to the Lohs’ to have our small gathering at their home. We had a wonderful time to catch up with each other. I was especially thrilled to play with Benji and Zac last night. We would like to thanks the Lohs for inviting us to their lovely home and the food was yummy!! 

I got up at 2am, that’s too early to be waking up. I’ve not been sleeping very well lately, maybe it’s because of the changing body shape that is bothering me when i lay on the bed or something else… yet to figure out Em… maybe it’s a nature way of preparing me for the motherhood. I think i’ll need to wake up in the middle of the night to nurse my baby when he/she is born. No complaints, maybe i can spend this time on reading when everybody else is sleeping soundly on the bed.

We had a doctor’s visit this afternoon. Now I’m 13 weeks and 5 days pregnant. It was great because we got to hear the baby’s heartbeat using the doppler. The baby’s heartbeat was about 154bpm. Pretty amazing and fast too! Besides hearing the heartbeat, occasionally i can hear the baby kicking too! Wow… Andy remarked, must be a pretty naughty baby inside. Yet to find out the gender of the baby, maybe the next visit.

This whole week gonna be sunny, and of course it was very wonderful sunny day yesterday too. We had a great shopping trip! Andy bought a pants from Old Navy. Then we went to TJMAXX to hunt some goodies there. It’s a wonderful shop if you like to buy branded/bargain goods for less. If I had business capital and a car, maybe it’s a good idea to shop for cheap and good stuff from there and resell them on ebay.(Got this idea from Andy’s friend who is doing really well by buying goods from TJMAXX and resell them on ebay!) Maybe it’s not a bad idea plus you don’t have to work in an office to take your time/presence away from your kids/family. Well, I bought a Etienne Aigner handbag for only $25.00. I thought this is really cheap, i wonder why the Aigner handbags selling so much more expensive in Malaysia! Maybe the people in Malaysia are fooled by the well-designed packaging and expensive location – Suria KLCC Shopping Center and don’t know how these handbags are selling so cheap in USA.

Almost the end of the first trismester of my pregnancy. The belly is starting to show. As of today, the belly measured 25 inches and I don’t like it because I’m stuck in between the clothes that i’ve. I can’t wear the maternity clothes that I’ve borrowed from Laurel, I guess it would look awful funny. And I can’t wear my normal wear, because they are just not able to button up. I tried wearing my maternity jeans one day, it just keep falling down. Well, I also don’t want to spend the extra money buying new ones that are 2 sizes larger than my current clothes. For now, I guess I’m most comfy with my PJ. I wish I don’t need to step out of the house which i find it’s impossible – will be so bored to death, or I wish I can even wear my PJ to go out without being teased and probably people would think that I’m insane!
