I had my GTT this morning at 8am. I was the first person taking the test because I thought I could leave by 11am. This time the test is really long and stressful. It begins by drinking a bigger than the last test, bottle of orange flavored glucose drink. After drinking, I started feeling really bad and feeling vomiting out. I resisted the urge and sat down and rested for a while. I had to drink some water to get pass the over sweetened drink in my body. After that, I took a walk around the hospital. The first hour was the most difficult time to pass. Maybe I didn’t eat enough the night before? I had a tooth extracted on Thursday afternoon. After the tooth extracted, I didn’t have much appetite to eat anything. I only had a bowl of oatmeal for dinner. Everything was ok and the tooth was healing faster than I thought.
I had my blood taken out before I had the drink. The second time was taken at 9:07am. The third time, I was just tired of just walking around, so I decided to go to the nursery to see babies. The tiny babies are so adorable. This gives me the strength to go on with the test, knowing that I’m growing a tiny little miracle inside my tummy. So, I sat down and watch TV in the waiting room. Another hour has passed, at 10:07am, the blood of taken out the third time. I’m feeling really tired and painful on my arm area by this time. I couldn’t give up because I’ll be done in another hour. I went back to the nursery and looked at babies again. I noticed some babies born with so much hair and they are so pink and cute. Hahaha… It’s so enjoyable just to look at this babies. I went back to the waiting area and rested my leg on another chair and I felt asleep for a while. Hahah.. so strength to fall asleep in the public. I don’t know I did anything to embarrass myself. Anyway, I hope I didn’t. Final blood sample was take out of 11:07am. Yeah, I’m done and so so done! Finally I can eat my lunch. I drove off right away and decided to buy me something to eat. Chick-Fil-A came to my mind. When I arrived at the drive through, I saw a sign saying that: “The 100th customer eats free,” I was wondering if I was the lucky one. I ordered my chicken nuggets, then I came to the window to pay. Then the cashier rang the bell, and said that I was the 100th customer. Hurray, I got a free meal! Not a bad day after all. I thought maybe God has compassion on me, seeing me went through a harsh test and decided to cheer me a little with a free meal! Thank God for that!
