Last week was memorial weekend, it was good to have an extra day with little extra help from my husband. But all moms know that you don’t get a holiday, on the duty 24/7and as usual I got to get up at 5:30 to tend my little guy and I was so so sleepy!!! Anyhow, I was glad that we had a long weekend and it was a fruitful one. But we didn’t get to go to the petting zoo that we had planned because of the rain. Instead, we met up with old friends in two parties. We had a great time and again we had to leave early because of the little guy’s bedtime. I guess a few more months, we’ll be more flexible. Also, Nathan crawled for the first time. I thought that he will never crawl because he doesn’t like to be on his tummy. Well, we were excited to see him crawl maybe I being a first time mom because all the friends have been telling me that I’ll be very busy once babies get mobile. Anyhow… I’m proud of Nathan’s new skill. I hope he will be more comfortable and content to play on the floor by himself with his new motor skill.

Things that I could make Nathan to sit down for more than 30 min is to let him watch daddy mows the lawn. I think he is fascinated with the mower with loud noise. The same thing also with vacuum cleaner. Vacuuming the floor is what I would usually do if he fusses… For me it works really well because I could get my time to clean the house too! But I think it’s not Andy’s idea of fun to mow the lawn everyday.
This year mother’s day brings a different meaning to me because I became a mom myself. I also realize that how much work and time I need to commit or even sacrifice to raise up my own child/children(in the future but I’m not pregnant). Nevertheless, it has so much joyous moment.
Andy and Nathan (though he doesn’t know anything) cheer my day up by giving a very cool blender for this special day. I’m ready for smoothies and shake in the summer!!! Yum, yum!
My first cup of shake – mango, vanilla ice cream and milk. Was really good!
Anyone has any good smoothies or shake recipe to share??
Nathan is 8 months old. I was looking at the pictures that I took for his 8 months old and realized that how big he has gotten. Babies just grow so fast and very soon he will be able to crawl and walk. But for now he could only roll around from one end to another. Kinda have some moves for crawling but I think he still needs a lot of tummy time which he hates it. He still likes mommy to carry around to get mobile (I guess it’s the easiest way and not much effort on his part). Besides that, now he has two teeth at the bottom and two front teeth are coming out.
This picture is 8 months old and versus this almost 3 months old picture
Spring is here, time for a new theme!
