29 Jun 2008 Sunday Morning
 |  Category: Baby, Nathan  | 2 Comments

This morning we had extra time to spare, so we decided to take some pictures. Nathan’s mood was exceptional good this morning. Maybe he knows that it’s time to worship God on Sunday!!! Anyway, I bought the little outfit from David & Jac’s store – Barang Ave. I thought that it’s very cute, it comes with the matching cap too. Nathan is a animal lover. He is particular happy to see this kitty from the neighbor. Also, dogs and birds that he sees around him makes him really really excited and happy.

23 Jun 2008 Bumps, Bruises and Blood
 |  Category: Baby, Nathan  | One Comment

The title sounds kinda scary but I think it’s a common injuries of a baby who is learning to walk or is curious about everything. I know I’ve a large part to keep an eye for Nathan, but sometimes it’s just unavoidable. For example, I got off shower and he was so curious about the shower room and went in there to check it out. It was wet obviously and he crawled inside and after 1 minute, I heard a loud cry. Well, it’s not too bad… but his forehead got a bump. Then in the afternoon, he was crawling on the hardwood floor and trying to get his toy. I guess he crawled too fast and bumped his mouth to the floor and hit his teeth. After a loud wail and then we realize that he was bleeding on his mouth. Poor baby gets another injury on to of the bump on the forehead this morning! It’s hard to avoid injuries for this age or any kind of pain whether physical or emotional later in life… or should we say "No pain no gain!"

18 Jun 2008 Father’s day gift
 |  Category: General  | Leave a Comment

Andy has been complaining about his electric shaver that he has been using since he was a freshmen. However, he didn’t want to spend the money to buy a new one since his is still working fine. Instead, he got one cool shaver from Wal-Mart and sent one to China for his dad. Well, since he didn’t want to get one for himself, Nathan and I decided to go to WM to get him the same shaver that he got for his dad. He was happy to finally to have a new shaver. It’s his first Father’s day, he deserves a good gift because he has been a great daddy!

13 Jun 2008 My heart-shaped lawn
 |  Category: General  | One Comment

My romantic husband decided to show his love to me through the lawn. He was creatively mowed a heart on a part of the lawn. On the other hand, when I saw that, I was asking him… what is with the trianglular part of the lawn that you have left behind? You forgot to mow? He was kinda mad that I didn’t pay much attention to his hard work. Sorry… I need to be more romantic like he does!

12 Jun 2008 9 month old
 |  Category: Baby, Nathan  | Leave a Comment

Yea… Nathan is 9 month old and it seems like yesterday that he was born. The well baby check up shows that he is well except that he has not gained much weight as before. I was afraid that he was having an ear infection and asked the doctor to check out for him because he has been pulling his ears really hard. But it turns out that he has been doing it not because of ear infection but teething. Teething pain… it’s a part of growing pain for babies and at least for so sensitive baby like Nathan. This week he has not been sleeping well, he gets up almost every two or three hours. Usually when he gets up I could just nurse him to sleep. But the teething pain makes him really fussy and so hard to put him back to sleep. I tried given him acetaminophen every 4-5 hours but I was afraid to give him too much of it (I did this for three days already). He still having the pain. I think i shouldn’t give him so much and let him get use to the sensation. Well, it also means that I have to run to his room every 2 or 3 hours. But I guess that’s the only way I could do without letting him "cry it out" which I couldn’t stand at all. The difficult time will soon passes that’s how I always comfort myself. Except for that, I was excited when he finally knows how to wave bye bye this week. I thought he will take a while to get it until Wednesday we were at a bible study. It was time to leave and someone said bye bye to Nathan. And out of the blue, he waved his hands to say bye bye. And did it again to another church member. I was so thrilled and immediately called Andy and told him about that. Besides, he knows to pull himself up and cruises around the house. One more thing, he also masters to sit down from crawling position. I was overjoyed to see how much he has grown. Wow.. can’t believe within the few weeks he has suddenly accomplish so many skills! I’m so proud of him. Very soon I’ll be happy to report that he is no longer a baby but a toddler. Wow.. time really flies!

It was the perfect weather for little zoo visit at Gentry, Ar. I was worry about Nathan being in the car seat for 45min drive. But it turns out to be a very good trip even though Nathan was a little too young to enjoy everything in the zoo. He was happy to see and pat those little animals. We had a wonderful trip! I guess we’ll go back next time when he knows about to walk or chase after those animals.
